Golden Boy Promotions on ESPN Weigh-in Results: Quigley, Tapia on Point

On Thursday night, Golden Boy Promotions will take over ESPN2 with a special Thursday evening event full of boxing action. Headlining the card will be a middleweight encounter between unbeaten prospect Jason Quigley and Glen Tapia and at Wednesday’s weigh-ins, all of the fighters made weight.

Tapia (23-3, 15 KOs) was the first of the featured fighters to step on the scale and the New Jersey resident nailed it. Tapia came in at 159.8 pounds. Though slightly heavier, Ireland’s Quigley still made the middleweight limit; he weighed exactly 160 pounds, setting the stage for the intriguing matchup.
The GPB on ESPN card will go live on ESPN2 beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The action will be held inside Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.
