The Ultimate Fighting Championship on May 16 suspended Nate Diaz indefinitely for posting a controversial tweet.

“We are very disappointed by Nate Diaz’s comments, which are in no way reflective of our organization,” the UFC stated in an official release. “Nate is currently suspended pending internal investigation, and we will provide further comment once the matter has been decided.”

Diaz’s tweet focused on the UFC’s decision to rescind Pat Healy’s UFC 159 bonus money after the veteran lightweight tested positive for marijuana. “Bam Bam” earned both “Submission of the Night” and “Fight of the Night” honors totaling $130,000 for his third-round submission of Jim Miller on April 27.

Healy recently told Sherdog.com his victory has been changed to a no contest and that he has been suspended by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board for 90 days. UFC President Dana White recently announced that bantamweight Bryan Caraway would instead receive the UFC 159 submission bonus in light of Healy’s test results.

“I feel bad for Pat Healy that they took [an] innocent man’s money, and I think the guy who took the money is the biggest f-g in the world,” Diaz wrote.

Diaz becomes the second UFC fighter in as many months to be suspended for breaching the UFC’s code of conduct. Heavyweight Matt Mitrione was reprimanded in April after calling transgender fighter Fallon Fox a “lying, sick, sociopathic, disgusting freak.”
