The main event of any card entitled Smackgirl “Legend of Extreme Women” was bound to result in something extraordinary.

The fight between Fujii and Murray at Korakuen Hall lasted less than a minute, as did the career of the latter. Murray never fought again following her 20-second encounter with “Mega Megu.” Fujii shot in on her opponent and immediately locked in a toe hold, snapping Murray’s ankle in the process. No one can forget Fujii’s ho-hum response to the broken ankle or the sight of Murray crawling away in agony before being carted away on a stretcher.
