Jessica Andrade announced her return to the strawweight division in emphatic fashion on Saturday night.

The ex-champion waded through heavy fire on the feet against Amanda Lemos to secure a standing arm-triangle submission victory in the opening round of the UFC Fight Night 205 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Not only did “Bate Estaca” re-establish herself as a top contender at 115 pounds, but she ended Lemos’ five-fight winning streak in the process.

33: UFC bouts for Guida, tied with Demian Maia for fifth most in promotion history.

40: Significant clinch strikes, out of 50 total, landed by Maycee Barber in a unanimous decision triumph over Montana De La Rosa in a women’s flyweight encounter. De La Rosa landed 10 significant strikes in the clinch and 14 overall.

2,110: Days since Lando Vannata’s last submission defeat, when he tapped to a Tony Ferguson brabo choke in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 191 on July 13, 2016. “Groovy” succumbed to a Charles Jourdain guillotine choke 2:32 into the opening frame of their featherweight clash on Saturday night.

1: Career submission among 14 professional triumphs for Marc-Andre Barriault, who used a mounted guillotine choke to elicit a tapout from Jordan Wright in their featured middleweight scrap. Previously, Barriault had earned nine wins by KO/TKO and four via decision.

14: Professional bouts for Wright that have ended inside of a round. “The Beverly Hills Ninja” is 11-2 with one no contest in those fights overall but has suffered back-to-back first-round defeats in UFC competition.

3: Combined knockdowns for Sergey Khandozhko (two) and Dwight Grant (one) in their welterweight bout. Khandozhko landed the lone knockdown of Round 2 en route to a TKO victory at the 4:15 mark of the period.

5: KO/TKO losses for Isaac Villanueva since his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 171. That’s the most of anyone in the UFC since 2020. Villanueva fell to Tyson Pedro via knockout 4:55 into Round 1 of their light heavyweight clash.

37: Significant strikes landed by Qileng Aori in just 2:48 of fight time against Cameron Else. “The Mongolian Murderer” also scored a knockdown before finishing his foe with punches from back mount in the opening stanza of their bantamweight tilt.

75: Significant strikes landed by Preston Parsons in a clear-cut decision triumph against Evan Elder at welterweight. By comparison, Elder landed 27 significant strikes. Parsons also attempted five submissions, landed four of six takedowns and enjoyed 7:48 of control time in a complete performance.

35: Significant ground strikes landed by Parsons. Elder, meanwhile, landed none.
