Jedrzejczyk fended off her opponent’s grappling in the early frames and took over down the stretch, battering a spent Gadelha in the championship frames. It was the most adversity the Polish champion had faced during her title reign, and she passed with flying colors, improving upon a contentious split verdict earned over Gadelha at UFC on Fox 13 in the process. the second-best total of the Polish fighter’s career, however, as
she connected with 220 significant strikes in a five-round verdict

26: Significant strikes by which Will Brooks outlanded Ross Pearson in their lightweight encounter. The ex-Bellator champion outlanded his foe 19 to 10 in round one and 33 to 9 in round two, while Pearson held a 35-to-28 edge in round three. Brooks also outlanded Pearson 116 to 76 in total strikes.
1: Takedown landed in six attempts for Brooks, who relied primarily on his wrestling during his his run in Bellator MMA. Pearson failed on both of his takedown attempts.
3: Consecutive KO/TKO victories in UFC competition for Doo Ho Choi, tying him with Cub Swanson for the fourth-longest streak in UFC/WEC featherweight history. Jose Aldo owns the longest such streak, with six straight KO/TKO triumphs from 2008 to 2009, while Conor McGregor is second with five from 2014 to 2016. Chad Mendes put together four straight finishes from 2012 to 2013.
42: Career takedowns for Thiago Tavares, who landed two in his abbreviated appearance against Choi to move past Ryan Bader (41) and into ninth place among active UFC fighters. Rashad Evans is No. 8 with 50.
1,477: Days since Gray Maynard’s last Octagon triumph, a split-verdict over Clay Guida at UFC on FX 4. “The Bully” returned to the win column on Friday night in his featherweight debut, garnering a unanimous decision against Fernando Bruno.
3: Takedowns landed, in seven attempts, for Maynard, the most he’s landed since he took Frankie Edgar down three times in a lightweight title bout at UFC 125.
.270: Significant striking accuracy for former flyweight title challenger John Moraga in a split-decision defeat to Matheus Nicolau. Moraga landed just 31 of 113 attempts. Nicolau, meanwhile, landed 41 of 85 significant strikes, a 48 percent clip.
6: Takedowns landed, in six attempts by Cezar Ferreira in his decision triumph over Anthony Smith at middleweight. That is the most “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” veteran has landed in nine Octagon appearances.
79: Total strikes by which Ferreira outlanded Smith. “Mutante” outlanded his foe 120 to 41, including a 70-to-12 edge in round three.
