By the Numbers: UFC Fight Night 130
It wasn’t the most definitive of triumphs, but Darren Till nonetheless has the biggest win of his Ultimate Fighting Championship career to date.
Till edged two-time welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson in the UFC Fight Night 130 headliner in Liverpool, England, on Sunday, taking a narrow unanimous decision punctuated by a knockdown in the final stanza. The scorecards figure to be a topic for debate in the days to come, but Till has moved into a new category of 170-pound contenders regardless. However, Till’s victory was also marred by his badly missing weight one day prior.

68: Combined significant strikes landed by Till (38) and Thompson (30) in a low-volume 25-minute affair. Till outlanded his foe 9 to 6 in round two, 9 to 8 in round three, and 9 to 3 in round five. Thompson, meanwhile, outlanded Till 5 to 4 in round one and 8 to 7 in round four.
.300: Significant striking accuracy for Till, who landed 38 of 126 attempts. Thompson, meanwhile, landed 30 of 126 significant strikes, a 23 percent success rate.

Only Georges St. Pierre (19) and Matt Hughes (16) have more triumphs at 170 pounds.
.620: Significant striking accuracy for Magny, who landed 18 of 29 attempts in a short-but-efficient performance. White, meanwhile, land six of 17 significant strikes, a 35 percent clip.
4: Consecutive triumphs for Arnold Allen, who authored an unlikely comeback with a third-round submission of Mads Burnell in a featured 145-pound contest. That ties Allen with Enrique Barzola for the fourth-longest active winning streak in the UFC featherweight division. Only Max Holloway (11), Darren Elkins (six) and Brian Ortega (six) have longer winning streaks at 145 pounds.
6: Takedowns landed in 12 attempts by Burnell. The Danish fighter’s best frame was the second, when he took Arnold down three times and outlanded him in total strikes by a 38-to-6 count.
2: Knockdowns landed by Jason Knight in the opening round of his featherweight bout with Makwan Amirkhani. Nonetheless, it was Amirkhani who emerged with a split-decision triumph.
12: Consecutive victories — including three in the UFC — for Brazilian Claudio Henrique da Silva since a loss in his pro debut on Nov. 10, 2007. The London Shootfighters representative scored a first-round submission of Nordine Taleb in a featured welterweight scrap on Sunday.
722: Days between Octagon appearances for Tom Breese, once a highly-regarded welterweight prospect. After a nearly two-year hiatus, the 26-year-old Englishman made his middleweight debut on Sunday, earning a first-round technical knockout of Daniel Kelly in a preliminary contest.
140: Total strikes landed by Elias Theodorou in a unanimous decision victory over Trevor Smith at middleweight. By comparison Smith landed 82. “The Spartan” outlanded his foe 65 to 32 in round one, 42 to 31 in round two and 33 to 19 in round three.
51: Significant clinch strikes landed by Theodorou, who held a 77-to-41 edge in significant strikes overall against Smith.
