In a lengthy and distinguished career full of notable moments, Michael Bisping just earned the signature victory of his Ultimate Fighting Championship tenure.
Bisping edged Anderson Silva via unanimous decision in the UFC Fight Night London headliner at the O2 Arena on Saturday. In a bout filled with controversy and momentum swings, “The Count” somehow managed to hold off a man who he once idolized. outlanded his foe 17 to 8 in round one, 24 to 11 in round two, 21

19-to-18 advantage in the final frame.

The Brazilian floored Bisping with a flying knee toward the end of the third frame as the British fighter attempted to pause the bout to retrieve his mouthpiece.

Still, it was Pickett, who landed three of five takedowns, who emerged with a split-decision triumph.

0: Takedowns landed, in eight atttempts, by Yaotzin Meza in a decision loss to Arnold Allen at featherweight. Allen, meanwhile, landed all four of his takedown tries.
18: Significant strikes landed by Scott Askham in his two UFC wins, first-round knockout triumphs over Chris Dempsey on Saturday and against Antonio Dos Santos in June. Askham has landed three knockdowns in those victories — one against Dempsey and two against Dos Santos.
6: Takedowns landed, in nine attempts, by Rustam Khabilov in his unanimous decision victory over Norman Parke at lightweight. That figure ties Khabilov’s previous UFC best, set in a loss against Benson Henderson in June 2014.

77: Significant strikes landed by Daniel Omnielanczuk against Jarjis Danho in their heavyweight bout. Danho, by comparison, landed just 38. Omnielanczuk won via technical decision after the contest was halted early in the third frame due to an accidental groin strike. Omnielanczuk notably outlanded his foe 23 to 11 in body strikes and 24 to 2 in leg strikes.
