Former lightweight champion Michael Chandler will return to action at Bellator 138 when he faces Derek Campos in a featured bout.

Promotion officials announced the pairing on Tuesday. Bellator 138 takes place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on June 19 and is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Ken Shamrock and Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson. The event was initially expected to be held on Saturday, June 20, but instead has been moved one day earlier. No reason was given for the change.

Chandler, 28, is looking to halt a three-fight skid in which all of his defeats came in title bouts. The former University of Missouri wrestling standout first relinquished the 155-pound strap to Eddie Alvarez at Bellator 106. He has since dropped back-to-back meetings to Will Brooks, most recently falling to the reigning lightweight king at Bellator 131 this past November.

The 26-year-old Campos has compiled a 4-2 mark under the Bellator MMA banner. The Lubbock, Texas, native last appeared at Bellator 126, where he stopped Estevan Payan in 31 seconds.
