Video: Gabriel Benitez Suffers Gruesome Cut on Shin at UFC Fight Night 171

Not only did Gabriel Benitez lose at UFC Fight Night 171, but he suffered a pretty nasty injury in the process.

Benitez began bleeding from his shin during a unanimous decision defeat to Omar Antonio Morales Ferrer during Wednesday’s prelims at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, but the Mexican fighter continued until the final bell. It wasn’t until the conclusion of the lightweight bout that viewers were able to get a closer look at the extent of the cut.

An up-close-and-personal shot during the broadcast displayed a deep split on Benitez’s shin that appeared to go all the way to the bone. Note: The video above is not for the faint of stomach.
