TYLER SMITH STEPS IN TO FIGHT PJ BONNER

(PRESS RELEASE) -- On April 6 at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, TN,
Tyler Smith
will step in to replace injured fighter, Michael
Bunch, to fight P.J. Bonner in the main event for V3Fights’
vacant welterweight title. Smith is currently 11-8 and fights out
of Clinch Works MMA.
Both fighters are known for their explosive fighting style and striking. The last time Smith stepped inside the V3 cage was back in September of 2012 when he defeated Bonner’s teammate, Bobby Oller, in the first round. Smith knows that he is an underdog coming into this fight, but also knows that he deserves this title shot and has a great chance of becoming the new champion. According to Smith, “Being a main event fighter is exciting for me. I’m looking forward to it and I’m pumped. I think he’s going to try to stand and fight which I’m prepared for, but if he tries to take me to the ground I’m prepared for that as well. I’m ready for whatever tricks he has up his sleeve.”
Smith brings an exciting fighting style to the cage. He may be the
most athletic fighter in the promotion and physically, may be the
strongest competitor in the welterweight division. But will that be
enough to stop Bonner and become V3’s next welterweight champion?
