The once-beaten Dana White’s Contender Series Season 1 graduate will confront former World Series of Fighting champion Ricky Glenn in the UFC Fight Night 196 co-main event this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Dawson enters the cage on the strength of an eight-fight winning streak that covers more than five years. He last competed at UFC on ESPN 21, where he punched out Leonardo Santos in the third round of their March 20 clash. Glenn, meanwhile, has rattled off seven victories across his past 10 assignments. He last appeared at UFC on ESPN 25, where he wiped out Joaquim Silva with punches just 37 seconds into their June 19 encounter.

As Dawson and Glenn make final preparations ahead of their three-round battle, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

27: Years of age for Dawson, who was born on Feb. 20, 1994 in Cambria, Wisconsin.

11: Dawson victories by submission, accounting for 65% of his career total (17). His methods of choice: nine rear-naked chokes, one armbar and one triangle choke. Dawson owns four other victories by knockout or technical knockout and two more by decision.

105: Seconds needed for Dawson to submit Adam Rider with a rear-naked choke under the Shamrock Fighting Championships flag on March 7, 2015. Having occurred in his third professional appearance, it remains the fastest finish of his 18-fight career.

2,002: Days since Dawson experienced his only pro defeat. He was on the receiving end of a 35-second technical knockout from Hugh Pulley at a Kansas City Fighting Alliance event on April 30, 2016.

94: Significant strikes by which Dawson has outlanded his opposition since joining the UFC roster nearly three years ago. He has connected on 198 such strikes while absorbing only 104 in return against Santos, Nad Narimani, Darrick Minner, Michael Trizano and Julian Erosa.

32: Years of age for Glenn, who was born on April 12, 1989 in Marshalltown, Iowa.

12: Glenn wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 55% of his career total (22). His list of victims includes Chris Manuel, Georgia Karakhanyan, Alexandre Pimentel and Johnny Case. Glenn holds four other wins by submission and six more by decision.

2: Sub-minute finishes on the Glenn resume. In addition to his aforementioned rout of Silva, he submitted Josh Henry with an armbar 32 seconds into their pairing at a Midwest Cage Championship show on Jan. 15, 2011.

176: Days spent by Glenn as undisputed World Series of Fighting featherweight champion. He laid claim to the 145-pound crown on June 21, 2014 and surrendered it on Dec. 13, 2014. It was the shortest featherweight title reign in the history of the promotion.

.721: Cumulative winning percentage between the six men—Kevin Aguilar, Myles Jury, Evan Dunham, Lance Palmer, Lonnie Scriven and Jimmy Seipel—who have defeated Glenn. They boast a combined record of 88-33-1. Advertisement
