Those who thought Valentina Shevchenko might soon be ready to walk off into the sunset appear to have grossly miscalculated.

“Bullet” captured the undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s flyweight title for the second time when she laid claim to a unanimous decision over Alexa Grasso in the UFC 306 co-main event on Saturday at the Sphere in Las Vegas. All three judges scored it 50-45 for Shevchenko, who evened her head-to-head series with the Lobo Gym star at 1-1-1. Grasso struggled to stay upright against the determined challenger, as she surrendered eight takedowns in her first setback since 2019. Shevchenko had piled up more than 16 minutes of control time by the time it was over and outlanded her counterpart by a 193-153 margin. The win moved her to 13-3-1 in the UFC.

As Shevchenko awaits word on her next assignment from UFC matchmakers, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied her to this point:

50: Seconds needed for Shevchenko to put away Priscila Orellana with punches at a Fusion Fighting Championship show on Dec. 18, 2013. Almost 11 years later, it remains her fastest finish to date.
