By the Numbers: UFC Vegas 106

Michael Morales used Gilbert Burns as his personal steppingstone.

The Ecuadorian standout continued his ascent in the welterweight division, as he dispatched the former title challenger inside of a round in the UFC Vegas 106 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The 25-year-old Entram Gym representative is now 18-0 as a professional, and he figures to be an opponent nobody at 170 pounds will be eager to face in the months to come. Burns, meanwhile, has lost four consecutive Octagon appearances — a significant decline from where he was some five years ago.
